Disser represents sellers, buyers in five recent sale transactions

OAKBROOK TERRACE, IL (October 5, 2016) – NAI Hiffman’s Kelly Disser recently completed three sale transactions in the Chicago industrial market along with Eric Tresslar, Michael Freitag, and Alex Sutterer. Disser and Freitag also represented two buyers in acquiring properties in DuPage County.

Kelly Disser and Eric Tresslar, both Executive Vice Presidents with NAI Hiffman’s Industrial Services group, represented a private investment trust in the sale of the 7-acre land site at 2800 West 35th Street in Chicago to Thorntons. The Louisville, Kentucky-based gasoline and convenience chain retailer plans to build a convenience store on the site located along the southwest corner of South California Avenue & I-55 to further expand its Illinois presence.

Also in Chicago, Kelly Disser and Michael Freitag, Associate with NAI Hiffman, represented CR Realty in the sale of 3357 South Justine to a local investment group, Ace Capital. CR Realty had acquired the 43,000-square-foot asset in a portfolio that just closed on July 1, 2016; the timing underscores the velocity in the market today. The building was formerly home to ACME Scrap and Pure Metals but will now be occupied by a window manufacturing company. See Wong of HMC Realty Management represented Ace Capital.

At 2300-2304 South Archer Avenue in Chicago, Kelly Disser and Alex Sutterer, Associate with NAI Hiffman, represented The Barbara Companies in the 35,000-square-foot building sale to Mark C. Construction. The contractor plans to build a mixed-use commercial and residential project on the site.  According to NAI Hiffman research, more than 30% of properties sold in the city of Chicago in the 20,000 to 50,000-square-foot size range have been sold for redevelopment due to functional obsolescence.

A private investor and business owner with a deep-rooted history in Chicago as a wholesale distributor of meat products and butchering services recently sold its building in the heart of the rapidly evolving Fulton Market District and has acquired 6344-6400 South Cass Avenue in Westmont. The asset, a 26,424-square-foot, multi-tenant, retail investment was acquired to fulfil a 1031 exchange requirement following the sale of its other facility; Kelly Disser and Michael Freitag identified the attractive investment opportunity, negotiated terms and completed extensive due diligence on behalf of the buyer. Peter Block of Colliers represented the seller in the Westmont transaction.

Disser and Freitag also represented TNZ, LLC in the purchase of a 16,000-square-foot building located at 1715 Cortland Court in Addison. The purchaser acquired two units within the four-unit industrial condo building. Jay Farnam of Lee & Associates, represented Kencor Investments in the sale.
