I am a strategic advisor that has created value for suburban Chicago investors and occupiers of office space for over 20 years. I approach each assignment with dedication, reliability, enthusiasm and goal oriented strategic thinking that has culminated in over 700 transactions of over 3.6 million square feet of office space in my career. I have worked with a wide array of both occupiers and investors advising them on all facets of their real estate needs including site selection, acquisition and disposition of both leased and owned commercial real estate, detailed financial analysis, reporting, investment strategy, and transaction negotiation. Out of college, I went to work for Scribcor Real Estate Services which was a boutique property management firm with about ten brokers. Just starting out in the industry, I was fortunate to learn the business under the wing of industry veteran Mike Van Zandt who I still partner with on several projects to this day. In 2001, Scribcor was acquired by NAI Hiffman and it has been my home ever since. When that acquisition occurred, I was thrilled to join a much larger firm that allowed me the opportunity to collaborate with other agents and have the support of industry leading marketing and research departments. In 2009, I recognized a void I the industry for professionals that focus on the specific needs of healthcare organizations and the owners of medical office assets and thus the NAI Hiffman Healthcare Services Team was developed. Over the past ten years, we have worked on behalf of large health systems, developers and national healthcare REITs. I am proud of the growth we have made in this industry niche and asset class and we continue to work to be recognized a leader in this space.

Away from the office, I am a dedicated husband and father of two fantastic kids. Most of my free time is spent on soccer fields or in ice rinks both coaching my son and daughter’s teams or strapping on the pads and tending the goal myself in adult ice hockey leagues. My wife and I share a love of live music and are doing our best to introduce our kids to the classics as well. I feel very proud hearing their young voices belting out Tom Petty from the backseat on summer road trips to Southwest Michigan.

Brian Edgerton is a Vice President in the Office Services Group. Brian specializes in office leasing, focusing on Landlord and Tenant representation in the western and southwestern suburbs of Chicago. Brian is also a member of NAI Hiffman’s Medical Services Team which assists healthcare organizations and investors in healthcare real estate.

Brian joined NAI Hiffman in 2001, and in this time, he has assisted or represented clients in the leasing of over 3.5 million square feet of office space. Brian has worked with a wide array of both occupiers and investors advising them on all facets of their real estate needs including site selection, acquisition and disposition of both leased and owned commercial real estate, detailed financial analysis and reporting, investment strategy, and transaction negotiation.

Brian has contributed articles to the Illinois Real Estate Journal and Chicago Hospital News and has been a featured panelist at several real estate industry conferences.

Prior to joining NAI Hiffman, Brian worked for Scribcor Real Estate Services and graduated from the Indiana University, Kelley School of Business with a Bachelor’s Degree in Marketing & Distribution Management.
