Growing up in a suburb of Tampa, Florida where life was a bit different than it is here I never knew the field of Commercial Property Management existed. Then, upon moving to Chicago not long after finishing college I was placed by a temp agency in “The Office of the Building”, having no clue what that meant. As I walked up to that shiny glass tower I had no clue what I was in for. The varied day to day problems and projects really spoke to me, I never knew what my next challenge would be and that was intriguing. As someone that loves to meet people of varied backgrounds being in property management is wonderful as you get to work with folks that are in many different fields that you would not under normal circumstances have had a chance to and build relationships with. This is why tenant relations are one of my favorite aspects of my work. I get to work on coordinating construction projects, general building maintenance, tenant relations, financial reporting and problem solving. No day is like the rest especially here at NAI Hiffman where I get to put all of my skills to the test. This gives me a great sense of accomplishment at the end of the day.
Outside of work my interests and hobbies have changed quite a bit in the last 10 years. I used to read, play tennis and compete in running races, but after having our first child 8 years ago and a set of twins almost 4 years ago they take up much of my personal time. So we try and do fun activities together, most of all we love to travel. Other than traveling which we of course don’t get to do as much as we would like, we love to ride bikes, go to the play ground and the ice cream shop. In the summer you will find us at the neighborhood pool any chance we get. While time with the family is great I do try and get out and enjoy some adult time with my friends. All of my friends have one thing in common, we are all foodies. If you need any restaurant recommendations I am your lady, from Michelin starred restaurants to food trucks I have you covered. I also enjoy cooking and entertaining at home, in fact I owe some of my famous White Sangria and a charcuterie tray to some of my lovely co- workers here. Please note though, I can never properly pronounce charcuterie correctly, if you want a laugh the next time you see me have me try and say it!
