I love process and problem solving. Growing up, I worked at a mechanical engineering facility where we would test prototype products to failure for manufacturers. I was not involved in the testing but I would clean and service the heavy machines in between the tests and after the laboratory would close. It was this experience that made me realize that I like seeing, problem solving and working through different processes with people. It also made me realize there was no way that I could be an engineer and work in a lab all day. This experience and fascination with process pushed me to Industrial Real Estate Brokerage. While I may not be cleaning oil filters or heating up testing chambers, I still get to see, problem solve and work through different processes with people.

The love of process and problem solving also seeps into my personal life. On Sundays, I am fortunate enough to lead a great group of sophomore guys from the high school that I attended. I have been leading them for the past year and will continue to be in process and help them problem solve until they graduate. Following my graduation from Hope College in Holland, Michigan in 2018, I moved back home to the Northwest Suburbs and started my Industrial Brokerage career at NAI Hiffman. Everyday, at NAI Hiffman, I get to see, problem solve and help people work through their own processes one step at a time… and I didn’t have to become an engineer!

Professional Background & Experience

Drew Bulson joined NAI Hiffman’s Industrial Services Group in June 2018. As an Associate, Drew is an integral player working in conjunction with Lawrence Much where he provides acquisitions, dispositions and leasing solutions for private companies, owners, real estate investment trusts and developers of industrial real estate. Drew’s focus is on targeted submarkets within the 1.2 billion square foot Greater Chicagoland area industrial market, with expertise in the Northern Cook and Lake County submarkets.  Since joining NAI Hiffman, Drew has completed over 40 transactions ranging in size from 60,000 square feet to over 250,000 square feet with a total volume of over $24 million dollars.

Prior to his beginning his career at NAI Hiffman, Drew was a Corporate Associate Intern at Brown Commercial Group in Elk Grove Village, where he specialized in procuring new business through targeted marketing campaigns.  He is a 2018 graduate of Hope College in Holland MI with a Bachelor of the Arts Degree in Business and a minor in Communications.
